Candle dye blocks are highly concentrated and used for coloring large batches of candle wax. The candle dye blocks are 1/2 oz and will color approximately 20 lbs of candle wax to a medium shade. They are made from an aniline dye to create a bright shade of color and are sediment free. Candle dye blocks can be mixed together to make an even greater number of colors and shades.

Our liquid candle dye is packaged in solid white plastic bottles to help extend the shelf life of the dye. Official shelf life is one year, but they can last two or three years if kept in a closed container away from heat and light sources. We recommend using our pipettes, which is an easy disposable way of dispensing the candle dye. Each color can be made into different shades by adjusting the usage amount. Liquid Candle Dye Suggested Uses:

• .002% equals approximately 1 drop of dye per pound of wax
• .01% equals approximately 2-3 drops of dye per pound of wax
• .05% equals approximately 7-8 drops of dye per pound of wax
• 1% equals approximately 37 drops (1/4 tsp. + 4 drops) of dye per pound of wax
• 2% equals approximately 88 drops (1/2 tsp. + 1/8 tsp.) of dye per pound of wax

Once you get the shade you want, keep notes on the amount and measure used for easier color duplication in future batches. For larger batches, 1 tsp of candle dye equals about 132 drops or 5 grams. One ounce of candle dye should color approx. 125 lbs of wax to a medium shade.
